About Skyline Ponds
Our Aquascapes >
Skyline Ponds, a division of Skyline Landscaping, Inc., has been in business for 30 years and has become the premier waterscape builder in Southern California.
We specialize in beautiful and natural looking waterfalls, streams and ponds. As well, we now offer the new "Pondless" waterfeature. If you'd like to have one of our DVDs titled "Create a Paradise", just stop by our Blue Jay office and we'll be happy to give you one, gratis.
The owner of Skyline Ponds, Bernie Kerkvliet, has a B.S. degree in Ornamental Horticulture from Cal Poly Pomona and has won numerous awards for landscaping design including blue ribbon honors and best in show. He also teaches part-time at Cal State San Bernardino, as well as teaching at the annual International Search and Rescue convention.
In 1999, we began installing Aquascape Systems and we were one of the first companies in the country to become a Certified Aquascape Contractor (CAC). Just this year, Bernie achieved the status of Master CAC. The Aquascape Designs' Ecosystem has been tested and proven to be the most effective system for creating gorgeous, low-maintenance and all natural watergardens. The certification process requires proof of licensing, insurance, experience, references and continual training on the newest products and developments, as well as scrutiny by a review board. We are the ONLY contractor on the mountain who has earned and maintained their certification.
We don't believe in the cookie-cutter mentality of other pond builders! Bernie creates the most natural looking waterfeatures possible by utilizing variable sized boulders as well as a variety of colors and patterns within the boulder selection. This, combined with his artist's eye for aesthetic appeal, will guarantee you a watergarden so unique and beautiful you'll think Mother Nature herself placed it there.
Bernie's specialty is working with large boulders, which are the basis of his signature designs. In fact, Skyline Ponds built the largest man-made waterscape in the entire San Bernardino Mountains which is 450 feet long, has a 90 x 80 foot pond and consists of over 2,000 tons of rock! But don't despair if you want something a little smaller; we've also built a complete waterscape within just a 4 foot by 8 foot area. We're ready to go with all the heavy rock-lifting equipment and tractors needed for any water feature, large or small.
An on-site design consultation is $75.00 and is 100% refundable upon purchase. (If you know exactly what you want, we can give you a fairly accurate estimate over the phone, FREE). Thanks for your interest and we look forward to talking with you soon.
